Heidelberg offset, Kodak CTP, and post-press in one Longgang plant

One plant, not a trading desk

Wenzhou Taishan Printing Co., Ltd. converts in Longgang, Wenzhou. Wrap sheets, folding cartons, and litho-lam liners that we print go through in-house imaging and sheetfed offset, then post-press in the same plant. We are the converter, not a merchant that rents a press anecdote.

The catalog lists 50+ machines, 20,000+ m² production, and 3,500 m² warehouse. Those figures describe capacity, not a lead-time promise and not a published MOQ.

Carton sheets, gift-box wrap, and litho-lam liners can share that press list. Direct print on flute is a different path and must be named if that is what you audited.

Press names from the catalog only

When a buyer asks which machines print the wrap or the carton, use the catalog list: Heidelberg 8-open 4/5-color, XL-75 4/5-color, and CDX102 4/5/6-color. That is a name list, not a claim that every job occupies every unit.

We will not invent extra press models, serial numbers, or a “dedicated luxury line” in this article. If the RFQ needs a machine family named for a vendor questionnaire, copy the catalog list — nothing more.

Process path on the shop floor

The catalog path is design → materials → Kodak CTP → Heidelberg print → lamination or varnish → gluing → pack. Die-cutting sits with converting. Gift-box wrap is a printed sheet that is then mounted to grey board; a folding carton is printed, cut, and glued.

Litho-lam corrugated is the same print idea on a liner that is then mounted to flute. Direct print on corrugated is a different path — see that article. Do not assume every “printed box” is a wrap sheet.

What the sheet actually is

Say which panels print: wrap sides on a rigid, outer carton faces, or a litho liner. CMYK versus spot belongs on the same line. Foil, spot UV, and lamination are finish-map items after or beside offset, not JPEG filters.

A digital mock-up is not the production sheet. Colour lives on the sheet we print for your wrap or carton. See the contract-colour article for proof types.

What this plant is not

We do not sell ink as a merchant. We do not sell a stock wrap SKU from a website swatch. We do not transfer a catalog certificate mark as a contract number.

MDF cores, PVC gauges, and paper-tube lids are other converting streams that may still use printed wrap sheets. Name the structure first, then the print path.

Vendor questionnaires

Buyer forms that ask “Heidelberg yes/no” can be answered from the catalog list above. Forms that ask for invented serials, fake ISO numbers, or guaranteed days should be sent back with the documents you actually hold — request current scans on that RFQ.

Spanish and English RFQs still need millimetres and a finish map. Machine names do not replace inner size.

Reprints, plates, and mock-ups

A reprint on an existing CTP job is not a new structure. A new wrap size, a new spot, or a new foil plate is. Write which. Kodak CTP plates the sheet we print; it does not make a screen JPEG contractual.

Digital mock-up is for layout. The production sheet is ink on paper from the Heidelberg list above. Approve the sheet when wrap colour is the selling face.

If the buyer’s form asks which unit will run the job, answer with the catalog names only. We will not assign a fictional serial or a guaranteed press date in this article.

What to put on the RFQ

Structure family, which faces print, CMYK vs spot, finish map, quantity band, destination. If you need the press list on a form, paste the catalog names only.

No prices, MOQ, or guaranteed lead times here. Approve colour on a printed sheet when the wrap is the selling face.

A vendor questionnaire that only ticks “Heidelberg” still needs inner millimetres, finish map, and destination. Machine names do not quote the job.
