What to send instead of a blank “make this box”
A dieline, a sample, or a dimensioned sketch. Taishan cuts steel-rule dies in-house after CTP and Heidelberg print — we still need a drawing.
Preferred pack
Vector dieline (AI/PDF with cut, crease, bleed) plus print-ready artwork, or a physical sample we can measure. A phone photo with a ruler is a start, not a die.
- Cut / crease / bleed on separate layers or colours.
- State scale: 1:1 or write millimetres on the drawing.
- Spot foil and UV as separate plates, not RGB glow in a JPEG.
Special shapes
Fan, star, round, and heptagon boxes need a true dieline. We will not “make it look like the photo” without a path. See the heptagon tooling article.
Who owns the die
Custom steel-rule dies made for your program stay with that program. Do not assume we keep a library of another brand’s shapes.
Catalog ranges only. Confirm on sample, board lot, and destination spec. Certificate numbers are not invented here — request current scans on the RFQ.
