Food gift boxes: liner, contact, and what wrap paper is not

Primary versus secondary pack

If a bag sits inside the rigid box, the box may be secondary pack. If sweets sit on flocked paper or an open tray, that is a different claim. Write which. “Food gift box” on a mood board is not a contact specification. Lid-and-base, a folding carton, and a paper tube can all sit next to food; only the written liner and bag line tell the converter which claim is in play.

Wenzhou Taishan Printing Co., Ltd. (温州泰山印业有限公司) converts lid-and-base, folding cartons, and paper tubes at No. 187–239 Cendong Road, Longgang, Wenzhou, Zhejiang 325802. Founded in 2000, the plant prints wrap and carton sheets in-house. Wrap paper around a sealed bag is still wrap paper. It is not, by itself, a food-contact certificate.

Domestic food-packaging photos in the catalog are structure references. They are not a licence transfer onto your export SKU. The artwork owner still supplies market panels. Request current food-contact documents when the pack actually needs them.

What touches the product

Name the liner: paper tray, EVA, flocked wrap, plastic tray, or none. Name whether a bag or film sits between the food and that liner. A cavity guessed from wrap colour is how the wrong foam gets quoted.

If the insert touches the product, say so on the RFQ and request the declaration that your destination requires. This site does not invent those documents. Catalog marks for FSC, quality system, high-tech enterprise, and printing license are not food-contact numbers.

• What the food sits on or in.
• Whether a bag or film is between food and board.
• Which destination must accept the claim.

Tubes, cartons, and artwork-owned marks

Supplement tubes and face-mask cartons often need market-specific marks. We print what the artwork file contains. We do not invent a nutrition panel, an allergen statement, or a recycling mark that is not in the file.

A paper tube with a food or supplement fill still needs diameter, height, lid type, and whether the inner wall is the contact surface. Gift-wrap on the outside does not answer that question. Send structure first, then the contact ask.

Oil, grease, and barrier as a spec

Food oils telegraph through cheap wrap. If the product is greasy, say so. Barrier is a specification — film, coating, or a bag — not a hope that grey board will hide a stain until the unboxing video.

Chocolate, nuts, and oil-based fillings behave differently in a closed lid-and-base than in an open carton window. Write the fill type in plain language. We will not invent a barrier grade as “typical food box.” Sample the wrap and the liner against the real product when grease is in play.

Inserts that are not food documents

EVA, paper tray, and flocked wrap are three converting jobs. Food-contact foam is a document claim on top of the converting job. Do not treat a black foam photo as a migration test.

Ribbon, magnet, and window film are likewise not food-contact by default. If any of those parts can touch the food, list them. If they cannot, say the food stays in a bag. Mixed silence is how the wrong claim lands on a carton panel.

How to put this on the RFQ

The catalog states coverage of multiple countries and regions. Name the country that will sell the food. Do not ask this page for an HS heading or an import-duty number as official advice. Those belong with your broker and current documents.

What we will not invent

We will not invent food-contact certificate numbers, FSC codes, or printing-license serials. We will not treat a catalog adjective as a lab result. Ask for the current scan when a claim must sit on this lot.

A chocolate rigid box can still be a beautiful secondary pack. Write it that way. If you need primary contact, write that way too — then request the documents. That is the difference between a gift converter and a brochure that pretends every wrap is a food licence.
